Protect TikTok ad groups: Protect all or one at a time
On TikTok, Tapper Block records and reports invalid traffic and changes nothing in your ad groups. Each ad group on the TikTok Ads page carries the tag Monitored, and its Protection switch and Protect all stay off. How Tapper works on TikTok is in How Block protects TikTok ads.
Before you start
- A workspace with Block and a TikTok Ads account connected to the entity. See Connect TikTok Ads.
- The Owner, Admin or Manager role. Viewers can see the list but not change it.
- The invalid traffic audience set up in TikTok Ads Manager and its ID sent to Tapper. See Set up the TikTok invalid traffic audience.
- The account row shows Connected. If it shows Needs reconnecting, reconnect first: see Reconnect an ad account that stopped working.
Open the Ad groups tab
- Pick the entity in the sidebar switcher if you have more than one.
- Under Setup, click Ad accounts, then TikTok Ads.
- Click the Ad groups tab, or Manage ad groups on an account row to see that account's ad groups.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Ad account | The TikTok Ads account the ad group belongs to |
| Ad group | The ad group's name and ID |
| Campaign | The campaign, with its ID |
| Protection | The switch, off, with the Monitored tag beside it |
Search ad groups or campaigns and the ad account filter only change which ad groups you see.

Refresh ad groups reads your campaigns and ad groups from TikTok now. Tapper also reads them when you connect, so a new ad group may be missing until you refresh.
If something goes wrong
- "No ad groups found." Clear the search or pick another ad account. Ad groups created after the last sync appear after Refresh ad groups.
- The switches are off. That is expected on TikTok.
- The list is empty or stale for an account. Reconnect TikTok if the account row shows Needs reconnecting.
