How Block decides
- How Tapper decides a click is invalidEvery check a click goes through, the rule set setting that controls it, and the block reason it leaves.
- Block reasons explained: what each label meansWhat each invalid traffic reason means: Suspicious click behavior, Repeat suspicious clicks, Known threat, Tampered device, Location mismatch and more.
- Doesn't Google already filter invalid clicks?Google credits some charged invalid clicks after a claim. Tapper excludes the source in your ad account so it stops seeing your ads.
Rule sets
- Set invalid click thresholdsHow the Block after N clicks within M limits work, how many you get, how to pick values, and when one allowed click makes sense.
- Suggested thresholds by industryThe 14 industry presets behind Suggest limits and the onboarding industry picker, printed in full so you can compare before you apply one.
- Detection features: what each switch doesBlock JavaScript-disabled browsers, Block VPN traffic and Block suspicious click behavior: what each switch does, what Tapper recommends and the defaults.
- Block or allow clicks by countrySet the Block by country rule as a block list or an allow list, and why it is a second layer behind your ad platform's location targeting.
- Suspicious ad clicks and minimum seconds on siteThe two number rows under Detection features: block an IP after N clicks with no events, or after a visit shorter than N seconds.
- Aborted ad clicks: block IPs whose clicks never load your pageWhat an aborted ad click is, when Tapper flags an IP with the Aborted ad click block reason, and what to check when real visitors are flagged.
