Demo data: look around before your own data arrives

Demo data fills every page with example data, so you can see the app before an account is connected, or show Tapper to a colleague without exposing a customer's figures. It is one setting; there is no Live / Demo switch on the dashboard.

Turn demo data on or off

  • On: in Settings > General, switch Show demo data on. It applies at once. An empty state can also offer a Show demo data link under its connect button, for example the Performance Max tab's "No Performance Max data yet".
  • Off: press Turn off demo data in the banner, or switch Show demo data off in Settings > General.

Your workspace, ad accounts and settings do not change either way. While demo data is on, nothing you change for a workspace is saved.

How to tell demo data from your own

Every page carries a banner titled Demo data: "Example data on every page, so you can look around before an account is connected. Nothing you change for a workspace is saved." The example numbers look real, so if a number surprises you, look for the banner first.
