Lift: what it does and where to find it
On this page
Tapper Lift checks your Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Snapchat Ads and Apple Ads accounts every day. It lists the changes worth making, one card each, with the evidence and, where it can price it, the money per day in the ad account's currency. Tapper makes some changes for you; the rest you make in the ad platform.
How it works
- One card per finding. Each check looks for one kind of problem, such as search terms that spend and never convert. The checks: Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads. Lift on LinkedIn Ads, Snapchat Ads and Apple Ads.
- Ready to act on and check first. Wasted spend is split into money Lift is confident in (Savings on a card, "ready to act on" in the totals) and Check first, where the figure rests on a judgement (the card says why). Totals show both parts and never add currencies together. Other cards show upside, spend affected, or no money.
- Fixing. On Google Ads, press a card's fix button (named for the change, such as Pause campaign) and confirm; Tapper makes the change, and Revert this fix undoes it. On Meta Ads and TikTok Ads, Open in Meta Ads Manager or Open in TikTok Ads Manager takes you there to make the change. After a change of your own, Mark as done moves the card to Done without touching the ad account. See Fix, mark as done, dismiss and revert.
- What Lift never does. It never asks you to spend more in total. No fix raises an account's total budget, cuts a budget shared by several campaigns or changes a portfolio bid strategy's target. A revert removes only what Tapper created. Lift needs no tag on your website.
Where to find it
The Lift sidebar section has Recommendations, Reasons, Results (with Activity), Products (when the entity has a Google Ads account whose business type is an online store) and Business details. On a phone, Lift is in the bottom bar. Lift is for Owners, Admins and Managers; a Viewer can open the pages but the recommendations do not load. With several protected entities, the switcher under the workspace name picks whose accounts you see. Without a connected ad account, the page shows Connect an ad account to start Lift.
| Page | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Recommendations | The recommendations, below. Google Ads settings worth a second look, such as Search Partners switched on, are rows of the same list: pick Campaign settings in its Type filter. See Account settings Lift watches. |
| Reasons | Why waste builds up across your Google Ads accounts, with a Fix plan of steps, largest first; No reasons to show yet until there is a reason. See Reasons and the fix plan. |
| Results | Spend and, for Meta, the campaign panels under one date range. Its Activity tab lists every fix applied from Lift, with Revert while it can be undone, and the actions taken on your cards and settings. See Automatic fixes and the Activity tab. |
| Products | Only when the entity has a Google Ads account whose business type is an online store: its products, grouped, on a Google Ads and a Meta tab, with what to do with each group. See The Products page: your products, grouped. |
| Business details | Lift's own settings, below. |
Recommendations
The page opens with "{N} open recommendations" and "Updated today at {time}." in your time zone. On the right: Export report for a PDF of a period's findings (Export a Lift report as PDF) and Open the fix plan, which opens Reasons. Below:
- Platform tabs (All and one per connected platform, with counts) and status tabs (Open, Done, Dismissed, Resolved).
- The header: savings a day, split into ready to act on and check first, the spend checked in the last 30 days, and the count. What's inside → breaks the savings down. What your team acted on this month is on the dashboard.
- Filters: search, Type (Spend or Campaign settings), Status, Check and, with several ad accounts, Ad account.
- The list, headed Keywords and ads first: keywords and search terms, then ads, budgets and bidding, placements, products and conversion tracking, then audiences and settings. Within each, money to save comes first, then spend affected, largest first. A row shows the finding in up to three lines (in full on hover or when its card shows), its tags (severity or priority, then New until opened) and its money, a month over the day figure. A recommendation's row shows the change to make instead; a row with no figure reads Not priced.

Press a row to show its card: beside the list on a wide screen (the top card shows on arrival), or as its own page on a phone, with Back to the list. A card gives the finding, what to do, its worth where priced, how it was priced, the buttons, where to find the item in the ad platform, the evidence and, at the bottom, History (press to open). On Open, a row's check (Mark as done (E)) and x (Dismiss (D)) open a dialog; nothing happens until you confirm. See Read a Lift card.

When Lift runs
Lift starts once Tapper has set your workspace up and an ad account is connected. Then it checks each account once a day:
| Platform | The daily check starts | The day it judges |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | Once the day's Google Ads data is in | Up to yesterday, in the ad account's time zone |
| Meta Ads | Once the morning read of each account is done | Up to yesterday, in the ad account's reporting time zone |
| TikTok Ads | Once TikTok has settled the previous day | Three days back, in the ad account's time zone, as TikTok revises recent days |
Your own changes in the ad platform show after the next daily check. If an account's data is late or does not match the platform's totals, Lift skips it for the day: no new cards, and its open cards leave the list until a later check. For your first day, see Get started with Lift.
If you came from your monthly report
The report's Tapper Lift section leads with Impact: the savings priced on your open recommendations, a day and a month (30 days), with the money to check first beside it, as of the date in its footnote. For today's figures, open the Impact card on your dashboard (What's inside → breaks them down). See Monthly reports.
