For online stores whose orders and refunds are recorded in their store platform.

What you connect

  • Your store, on Setup > Data sources under Sales. For Shopify, add the Tapper app and the checkout pixel: Install Tapper on a Shopify store. Adobe Commerce (Magento), Zid, Salla and WooCommerce each have their own row.
  • Tapper's monitoring script on every storefront page, so each order is tied to its ad click: The monitoring script.
  • Your Google Ads accounts and a Tapper goal: Tapper goals.

What Vantage sends

Once a day, Vantage sends Google the clean value of each order tied to a Google ad click: tax and shipping out, refunds taken off.

  • A partial refund lowers the value Google holds. A cancel or a full refund takes it to zero.
  • On Shopify, every order counts. On the other stores, each new customer's first order counts.
  • Where the Fit Check finds room for a prediction, Vantage sends a predicted value instead: what it expects a new customer to be worth.

Volume and timing

  • Each test campaign needs enough conversions for Google's value-based bidding.
  • The pilot runs 90 days: models deployed between day 30 and day 60, the result read on day 90.
  • The first two weeks of the test are learning and are left out of the result. Tapper checks in with you every two weeks.
  • Keep budget changes under about 20% during the test, in both halves.

Usual blockers

  • Purchases counted twice, or carts and checkouts counted as purchases. Keep one primary purchase action.
  • Orders not tied to their click, because the monitoring script or the checkout pixel is missing.
  • Refunds or returns handled outside your store.
  • Affiliate networks nobody listed, so their orders look like ad sales.
  • Test campaigns not on value-based bidding, limited by budget or short of conversions. A small account can pool stores or run longer.
