Click limits

The click limit is how many times one IP may click your ads before Tapper treats it as invalid. An IP that reaches it is flagged and, once blocking is on, excluded. The line between invalid traffic and an innocent visitor is thin, so choose it from your own business.

How to choose your limit

  • Press Suggest limits and pick your industry, or the closest one. See Suggested thresholds by industry.
  • Look at your average cost per click.
  • Think about how many times a genuine customer clicks before converting.
  • Set several limits: a short window catches competitors spamming your campaigns, a long window slow, long-term damage.

Set or change your limits

  1. Under Setup, click Rule sets and pick the rule set.
  2. On Click limits, edit the rows under Ad click limits: Block after a number of clicks within seconds, minutes, hours or days. Add limit adds a row.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

You can add as many limits as your plan allows. See Set invalid click thresholds.
