Cross-platform blocking across your ad platforms

On this page

Block across ad platforms is a switch on the Detection features tab of a rule set (Setup > Rule sets). With it on, a visitor that Tapper Block flags after a click on one ad platform is blocked on your other protected platforms too. It is off by default.

How it works

With the switch off, a detection stays on the platform that produced it. With it on, the visitor is excluded on every protected platform of the entity: a visitor flagged after a Meta click is also excluded from your Google Ads campaigns, and the other way round.

Each platform gets the exclusion that suits it: IP and audience exclusions on Google Ads, an audience exclusion on the Meta ad sets and Microsoft Ads campaigns you protect, and a recorded click on TikTok Ads. See How Block protects Meta ads and How Block protects TikTok ads.

Turn it on

  1. If your workspace has more than one protected entity, pick it in the switcher at the top of the sidebar.
  2. In the sidebar, under Setup, click Rule sets. Pick the set under Ad campaigns and open its Detection features tab.
  3. Turn on Block across ad platforms. It saves the moment you click it.

Where cross-platform blocks show up

The Exclusions page lists what Tapper excluded, one list per platform (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Microsoft Ads). A visitor blocked because of a detection on another platform carries the reason Blocked on another platform in that list. So a visitor flagged after a Meta click appears in the Google list with that reason, while the Meta list shows the original reason.

On a monitor-only workspace the page is titled Flagged traffic. See The Exclusions page and the proof drawer and Block reasons explained.
