What is the Meta Ads learning phase, and how long does it last?
During the learning phase, Meta's delivery system tests audiences, placements and other factors for your ad set, so performance may vary. Ad sets usually leave it after about 50 optimization events within 7 days. See the Meta Business Help Center.
Why do my ads enter the learning phase after I turn on Tapper protection?
Tapper's Meta Ads protection excludes invalid users through audience exclusion lists. Applying them to active campaigns can put some ad sets into the learning phase while Meta recalibrates delivery. Read more about Meta ad review.
Will my ads re-enter the learning phase when Tapper detects new invalid traffic?
No. Once the lists are live in your ad sets, they update on their own. Your ad sets should not re-enter the learning phase or ad review.
Will Tapper's protection affect my campaign performance?
Tapper keeps automated traffic, bots and click farms out of your Meta campaigns. With a cleaner audience, Meta's delivery system can improve performance over time.
Why has my delivery across placements changed?
Tapper protects your ads across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network. As Meta learns from Tapper's detections, it may shift spend between placements.
What if I am stuck in the learning phase?
Follow Meta's best practices: consolidate ad sets, avoid frequent edits, and set budgets that support 50 conversions per week per ad set. See Meta's learning phase guide and Meta ads and the learning phase after you turn protection on.
