Resolving Unauthorized errors when connecting Google Ads
An "Unauthorized" error, or a similar message, when you connect Google Ads means the Google login you used has no access to that account.
Why it happens
Tapper connects through your own Google sign-in, so that login needs access in Google Ads, as a user on the account or through a manager account (MCC) that manages it. Usually you signed in with a different Google login.
Fix it
- Reconnect and pick the Google login that has access to the account.
- If none has access, ask someone with Admin access to the account or its manager account to add you: in Google Ads, Admin > Access and security, add your email, choose a level that allows changes, such as Standard or Admin, and send the invitation.
- Accept the invitation Google emails you, then connect again in Tapper.
Google explains each level in About access levels in your Google Ads account.
The exact messages: Google Ads says your sign-in has no access to the account. Still stuck? Contact Tapper support.
