Which Meta access Tapper needs
To protect Meta Ads, Tapper creates an exclusion audience in your ad account and attaches it to your ad sets. Meta allows this only to people who have the right access, so the Facebook profile you connect with matters.
What you need
- Advertiser or Admin access to the ad account. A profile that can only view the account (Analyst access) is refused.
- Meta's permissions. On Meta's review screen, keep Manage ads for ad accounts that you have access to.
- A Meta pixel on the ad account, and Meta's Custom Audience terms accepted for it.
See Before you connect Meta: permissions, the pixel and the Custom Audience terms and Meta Ads account could not be connected.
What Tapper does once connected
- Detects bots, fake users and click farms.
- Creates the exclusion audience "Tapper - Invalid Traffic Audience" in your ad account.
- Attaches it to the ad sets you protect, so those users do not see or click your ads.
If someone else manages your ad accounts, have them sign in during the connect step.
